WINDSOR, ON – September 21, 2026 – Danies Lee, Chief Executive Officer for NextStar Energy has been named a 2026 Automotive News Canada All-Star. Lee, along with his co-honorees, is featured in a special section in the September issue of Automotive News Canada.
Automotive News Canada All-Stars program recognizes top industry leaders, executives and innovators who have made major contributions to the Canadian automotive sector across manufacturing, policy and retail.
Lee was appointed Chief Executive Officer of NextStar Energy Inc. in May 2022 and is responsible for setting the company’s strategic vision, driving growth and empowering the NextStar Energy team to achieve ambitious goals in a dynamic environment.
Over the past year, he oversaw the transition from the project’s construction to a fully industrialized facility, which began battery cell production in November 2025. Since then, the company began mass producing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries for energy storage, producing more than 7 million battery cells to date.
As part of NextStar Energy’s strategic vision and adaptability, the company most recently installed a new battery pack line, enabling full vertical integration from battery cells to finished packs. Prior to this role, Lee served as Vice President of Sales Operations for LG Energy Solution, overseeing the sales and program management of key electric vehicle (EV) battery programs for the North American market.
